A tribute to Patton Mullins
Must I go or must I stay
Tell me Mommy, would do you say.
Call down to the house and see if I’m there,
Don’t just sit there and stare.
If I was you and you was me,
And I was somebody else,
Then who would you be?
Look real close there’s nothing to fear,
I can move both my ears,
Without a touch from my hand,
I can move them on command.
Scat Tom you tail’s in the gravy,
Biscuits are cooking and I don’t mean maybe.
Bring me a swig one of you young folk,
It’s right over there in that polk.
Who’s yougen are you there are so many,
I stopped counting when I reached twenty.
I have to laugh to keep from crying,
But laughing doesn’t stop me from trying.
