Annual Apple Butter Making Tradition - Home place on Bold Camp

Looks like a good crop of apples this year.  Mark your calendars and get out your clogging shoes and musical instruments.  This tradition of making apple butter in a 30 gallon copper pot over a wood fire has become the favorite of the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  We never knew "passing it on" could be so much fun.  Oh, yeah, it is hard work, too!  But it's worth it.

Don't forget that the 18 bushels of apples have to be peeled on Friday evening/night to be ready to put in the pot around 5:30 a.m. on Saturday morning.

Can't wait to see you all!
